Should I buy my baby back?

Post by burnt_toast »

So quick back story, I sold my cherry red Elite which was tastefully modified, about a year ago. She's back up for sale, per new owner.

This is the same Elite that's in our banner up top. Can be seen in action here:
http://scootspecs.wordpress.com/showroom/

I still have my yellow Elite, but she's tuned for street and broad power. The red Elite was tuned for peaky revs and high performance. So question is, should I try to get her back?

I'm torn, because part of me really wants her back but the other says I just don't have a need for another scooter.
My stable currently includes my yellow 98 Elite, an 06 Vento Triton prj scooter, and a Honda 599 (CB600 Hornet) my daily rocket

So what do you guys think..

cheers,
:peace:

If the price is right, and you have the spare change, sure. Four bikes is the minimum for moto-addiction.

If I only had what I needed, I wouldn`t have much. If you want it, go for it, or build another one!

Absolutely not. What you need to do is send me the seller's name and contact information so that I CAN BUY IT! You definitely do NOT need another Elite. BTW, what's the seller's asking price?

Buy her back. You dont want to have any regrets when you get old. Do you? There is always room for another elite.

If need had anything to do with it, you wouldn't have built her in the first place.

well I built her originally with the intent of having motorcycle like functionality (speed & power) while only needing a moped licence.

I've since bought a real motorcycle to do my longer distance commuting.

I would be buying back purely for sentimental reasons and if price is right. He's not budging on price yet and asking $100 more than what he paid!

SO as of now, no plans to buy back yet, but I'm gonna go look at her this weekend and see what my heart tells me

So the guy is going to make money off of you after riding your build for a year? I would walk away based on principle.

It all comes down to whether or not you have the money to burn.
