Hello, NN50 Gyro to rich to start, tuning carb no help, removed air box cover and filter element tuned
carb to start up settings, engine started with very little smoke most likely to lean. Reinstalled
filter and cover, engine would not start, pressurrized air box with 20 psi air, engine would start.
Is the carburator the only problem this could be?
Thanks, Kev

Re: Rich Starting NN50 Engine
Carb is a likely problem.
A high float level, or a slight leak in the float needle seal issue can make for a rich start condition. I had one carb where the seat had been damaged. It would not seal even when cleaned and a new needle was installed.

Re: Rich Starting NN50 Engine
Looks like I overlooked the bystarter it shows a resistance of 20 ohms should be 10 ohms.
I will replace it and start tuneup again.
