I have a 98' elite 80cc which i just got, i read about a lot of people cutting a restrictor ring out of the exhaust? im looking to do this, but how do you know what to cut/if it has been cut out already or if this is even possible with my year? Also if this would even do anything for me? I am also looking to do some upgrades, nothing major like a bore kit or anything just the "basics", any ideas would be helpful as i am new to the scooter world. I have read about people changing the variator also, should i do this? rollers? which one should i buy. I mostly drive around town which is rural so i usually am going at a higher rate of speed. although i plan on giving my gf rides when we go down by the shore. she and i weigh about 290lb combined. Gotcha, figured I'd ask. I guess I'll get some new rollers, im goin to check the stock ones tonight. Also going to order some parts, just goin to get them at the local Honda dealer seeing shipping charges online will add up to the same amount.
