Derestrict Questions: Airbox, Exhaust, and Oil Pump

Hello friends,
Finally got around to pulling my restricted SA50P apart today and found some interesting things... I went hunting for the "second airbox tab" to punch out, as well as the "washer to drill out in the exhaust" and couldn't find either. This is where I was looking:
In the front end of the exhaust near the flange, there was no noticeable washer, and in the airbox, both tabs on the cover were missing.
Am I looking in the wrong place? Or do you think it's possible that someone before me did some of the derestricting but didn't derestrict the variator? I'm still topping at 30MPH. I wasn't able to pull the variator to look as I didn't have access to an impact gun.

looks like the exhaust may have been swapped to an unrestricted SR as well as the airbox desrestricted already. did you check to see if the variator restriction plate had been removed?

I didn't because I don't have an impact gun and all shops in my area were closed. I plan on checking next weekend, but I can't imagine it was removed at the scooter never hits over 30mph.

use a oil filter wrench ,the one that looks like a adjustable channel lock. you can get those from harbor freight for about $7. use that to hold the drive face and use a long handle ratchet and 17mm socket.

While I had it apart I actually installed a #78 jet... couldn't really see a noticeable size difference from the one that was previously installed though, but I assume the visible size difference from a #68 to #78 is minute.

genuine keihin jets are stamped with the jet size. If it only does 30 then the variator is still most likely restricted

X2
or if you happen to have a big set of channel locks you can use them.

Any reason why I'd get the channel locking version over the more adjustable locking version?

Either one of them will work. I just use big channel locks since i already had them.
