Hey, when I was repainting my muffler I noticed some sort of restrictor plate restricting the flow from the engine through the muffler at the top of it's neck. If i grind this out will it result in more M.P.H.? ( '87 honda spree, stock except UNI foam filter, 32 mph max right now).
ok my fault, i know im ignorant about exhaust systems. where do I drill the requisite holes and what do i chop on to make my spree faster? I saw the other welding mods and such, but I just wanna keep my muffler in tact and use that with a few very small mods.
Crap! I tried to remove the @*#%!@! pulley assembly on my spree and I just ended up giving it colorful new names for three hours How do I keep the wheel and rear pulley from spinning? I tried removing my wheel but I need some PB Blaster to unstick the nut. OH YEAH! this whole thread is silly because I took my muffler off my engine and found no restrictor plate SIGH, at least I got reacquainted with my baby.
the easiest way to do it is with an impact gun, if you have access to one. if not you need something to hold the clutchbell in place. they make a tool for it, but if you dont have access to either of those, then a oil filter wrench should do the trick.
ive sen people use a wrench or a screwdriver, lodge it in one of the holes of the clutchbell, and go from there, but you risk damaging your clutch that wat
