Hey guys, if you know me I am kind of new here and just getting into the spree scene. I see on Ebay these cheap aftermarket CDI computers. Any good?

If not point me in the right direction? thanks

Save your money. These aftermarket CDIs, unless you get into $300 ones with adjustable timing, are not as good as your stock CDI. There will be NO performance increase and their reliability is way less than the manufacturer's.

I run one of these on my 85 engine, and I'm pretty impressed. I don't notice much/any power increase, but it makes the bike run, lol. Unfortunately I didn't see Bear's post until after running mine for 2+ months, so I can't say anything about lasting long. However, it's cheaper than the genuine Honda CDI. I got a brand-new high-output coil and CDI for $25, on ebay everyone wanted like $35 for a used genuine CDI.

Use it at your own risk. I say I'm impressed because when I bought the bike, it had a failing CDI that made the engine run like sh*t. So I don't know what it should've run like with the genuine CDI.

Yeah, but I figured at the time I'd rather go for something brand new, and the deal seemed good.
