Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Hey howzit guys. So I recently bought a SYM DD-50 and I plan on "souping" it up. I dont know very much about mopeds so this will be a learning experiance for me. It currently isnt derestricted so thats gonna be my first step (having a mechanic do it). Im looking to build it so it accelerates as quikly as possible but still has a good top end (atleast 60-70 if can). Budget at the moment isnt that big of the deal because ill be buying part by part and slowly adding as money comes in.

Idea of build so far. Your opinion is GREATLY appreciated on what i should get!
- 72cc Polini
- Quick Throttle
- Aftermarket Pulley ( not sure what would be the best )
- Aftermarket clutch ( again, not sure what brand or if i should go heavy or light )
- New Belt ( not sure what kind )
- Roller Weights ?g
- Aftermarket Variator
- Clutch springs (not sure how I should set them up)
- Center spring (once again not sure)
- CT Manifold
- 28oko Carb
- Malossi Crank???

Not sure what else i should get to achieve quick acceleration while keeping a good top end. All help and opinions are greatly appreciated and ill get you guys posted with pictures and the project progresses.

Nah i think im gonna stick with the sym block for now

So I think I'm going to go with a cheaper bore for now and drop a polini in later when I have the $$$. So my question now is, what kine gears, clutch, clutch springs, roller weights, pulley, belt should I get?? I may just go with a Kelly pulley since those seem to be in every shop.

This is what I'm thinking now.
- bore kit
- Kelly pulley
- aftermarket variation
- roller weights ( for fast acceleration but still have good enough top end how heavy you think I should get??? )
- aftermarket clutch ( heavy or light?? )
- clutch springs ( not sure how I should set these up )
- CT mani/28oko
Thinking about getting the stuff ported and polished too.
