Draining bad gas from an 89 SA50 Elite

Morning everyone,
Saturday, the true grunt work of this restoration project starts now. I'm swapping out the gas, break lines, battery, tires and lights today on the scooter. I was wondering though, the previous owner had tried to start it several times with gasoline that had gone bad in it.
Is draining the gas in the tank and replacing it with new gas enough? If there is something else I should do, could you refer me to how a manual with how to do it
I'd really like to get this old lady up and running today!
