Blew out a screw! help please

Hi folks,
It's been a LOOONG time since I've been on this forum, I fell in love with motorcycling when I bought my first bi-wheeled vehicle, a 1984 Spree, and have been riding ever since. I upgraded to a 2009 Ninja 250R a while ago and ceased coming here, but this past saturday, I got into a little mishap whilst riding (read about it here : http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=106665) and as a result my bike's temporarily out of commission until new parts come in. I just hate driving my rust bucket of a car, so I decided to bring back my spree from retirement and ride her. Well, took her out the following day ( I regularly start her up, always put seafoam in correct ratios while storing and do preventive maintenance) for some aggressive riding and all was well, until I came to my favorite stretch of road( a long, down hill road, where I can pin the throttle and watch the speedo disappear past 45mph :woot: ) suddenly, I lost all power and upon trying to twist the throttle, I got nothing....I coasted to a gas station and upon close inspection discovered that I was leaking gas from a hole on the side of the carbs (which normally has a screw in it). Now, I'm assuming (and praying) that it's the hole used to drain the float bowels and that it would be a simple screw to replace...but I'm not sure. I've come back to the site and people who, in the past, have helped me out a lot with my first love, my spree, and I hope you guys can find it in your hearts to lend a helping hand to a fellow rider. :worship:
Here's a pic:

Thanks you.

Looks to be the drain screw but on occasion Honda does weird things and i haven't owned my spree long. Pull up a parts diagram it should tell you the. Name thread size and length. I would do it for you but I'm on my droid

It's definitely a drain screw. Nothing too bad. Unfortunately, I don't have one, but when you find one, just screw it in pretty snug. Don't over tighten it. Sorry that I can't help with getting you a screw.

Honda does not sell that screw separate from the float bowl.

Will do as you suggested. Tnx!
Thanks @87spree70superbee and @Bear45-70 for the speedy responses as well. I'll look at what I can find, I'm glad it isn't a mixture screw or something as important.

You must have missed the "a long, down hill road" part.

lol..um, nothing fancy...I've always been able to max out the speedo when going downhill, but never did try to use a GPS to see what my real speed was. As soon as I have the screw in place, I'll do a run and know for good. BTW...during these downhill speed runs, I'm leaning forward and almost kissing the guage and I only weigh about 130lbs wet, so...those might help as well ;)

You do realize that if you actually "blew" that screw out that the threads in the float bowl will be destroyed and a new screw will not stay in either.

I'm kinda hoping it's a case of the "shaken loose screw"...with all the vibration inherent in motorcycles/scooters, I know you're supposed to check the tightness of screws regularly, and I never did on my spree...hopefully, that's the culprit. If not, well...I guess a new carb will be my only option.
