72cc contesa,per mix klotz 32 to 1.21mm carb 95 jet,uni filter foam.v8 pipe.

I was riding one morning shut it off and tried to start it a hour later and it had lost compression. The rings were stuck in the piston .They seemed carboned up.Replaced piston and rings and rode it gently for about 2 tanks of fuel.

Went on a 5 mile ride shut it down to eat and the same thing happened. When I took it apart I found the same thing.Top of piston solid black from carbon and rings stuck again.

I could sure use some advice.

The more oil= bigger jets. Less oil in ratio=smaller jets. Did you do a plug chop to make sure you have the right jets? You could be running super rich. Try switching to a cleaner oil

Are you using Klotz with castor oil? I was running super tecniplate at 32:1 and it made my rings stick too and light seized my bore. Needless to say I am not using castor oil anymore :P Racing oil is for racing since racing engines are not build for longevity go with a full syntehtic oil and you should be good. Just because the brand of oil is supposedly better doesnt mean it is correct for street applications.

I had to learn the hard way :D I run Lucas performance in everything I have now and never had any problems. When I was running the super techniplate it seized and when I took the bore apart it looked like an old deep fryer with all the gummy oil stuck all over the piston. Like I said whichever brand you use try the full synthetic or even semi-synthetic without castor
