I made a fixture at work to hold the cyl head of my Spree to remove the .015 worth of material to bump up compression. If anyone else would like this done, drop me an email at
Motopsycho@wat.midco.net I do have a spare head also that I will be milling the .015 off of if anyone needs it also.

I work at a machine shop and I like having projects to do on my breaks at work. Helping to hop up Sprees is as good of a time investment as any.

I see no reason why they can't be shipped in a padded envelope. So 3 bucks per head shipping ought to be pleanty. Ship to

Well since you have access to a machine shop...would you be interested in boring cylinders out? Like if i sent you the piston andrings..would you do it?
Its not that kind of a machine shop

Its not an engine building shop. ITs an industrial machine ship. It would take me so darned long to set up the tooling to bore and fit the piston that it wouldn't save you any money over paying an experienced cyl boring shop. The interupted cut of the ports, deburring, and finish honing is just too darned easy for me to botch. I'd hate to ruin your cyl trying to help you out. However, if you ever do need any odd machining done (Intake porting for example) I can do that easy enough. Heck, I have my ported intake just lying on the shelf now, for sale also. I'd love to try to overbore a stock carb for more flow if anyone has one they'd let me experiment with.

What kind of gains could be expected from milling the head?
Gains

higher compression means More Power , Scotty. Not jsut top end power, but aceleration power, which is what my Spree needs more than anything.
