1984 Honda Spree Won't Start

I'm trying to get my spree running that I bought for $200 bucks.

I took it apart, cleaned the top of the piston head, checked the cylinder wall for scoring, everything is good there. Checked the carb, had already been cleaned, good there.

Cleaned the air filter, gas tank, petcock, oil tank. Put it back together with new gaskets.

Bought a new battery and recommended NGK Spark Plug :woot:

Still won't start. When I tried to start it, (while hond the brakes) it would just click. So I found where the clicking was, the starter relay. I took it off and have it taken apart to see if I can fix it. I also replaced the positive battery cable fuse with a 20 amp one, because it blew two 7 amp fuses, this one won't burn :D

Now, I ckecked the starter motor by connecting a jumper cable from the positive battery terminal to the red wire on the sarter motor, it turns over but won't start.

I'm thinking I have no spark!??

I even took out the spark plug and put a little gasoline under there and put it back, still no start.

Also, even with the cap of the SPARK PLUG UNSCREWED! the ignition wire still sits loosely on the spark plug.

I don't know how to get this thing started. I'm thinking I need a few things.

1. Ignition coil

2. CDI

3. Starter Relay

4. (Possibly) Regulator/Rectifier

I can buy a kit on ebay that has all those things plus a horn (which works fine).

But will this solve my problem?

ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

THANKS :bump:

:lock:

Robby!
