In my nib leovince pipe from Germany, there is a VERY restrictive washer like device that has been put in place with a nasty blob job tack weld.
this pipe is more restricted than the iowa pipe Honda offers.
does anyone's sp3 model 4447 have this on it?
once i get mine out im going to mail it back to Germany and ask them to f-off
why would anyone who has enough of a brain to weld ( not a good weld) not understand that its counterproductive to restrict an aftermarket part?
its like buying a hybrid for gas millage and putting mud tires on it.

Mine had one it it. It comes out pretty easily. The only reason I can think to why they did is that maybe there is some sort of legality that stops them from selling pipes that don't meet certain restrictions.

Yes, legality. The blob weld is probably because they know you are just going to pull it out but they have to make it solid enough to pass inspection.

I had mine on with restrictor and the performance was worse than standard. Took the restrictor out and the difference is unbelievable. Like the other guys say 2 or 3 minutes with a dremmel and its out. Well worth taking it out.

The Live Dio ZX exhaust is a totally different pipe layout than the SP3 # 4447. The engine has a completely different layout......what the F are you talking about?

So yeah... back to the subject at hand.
Mine came with that too, its most likely for legal reasons somewhere in the world... took all of a few minutes to pop it out... A lot easier than being a drama queen and sending it back to Germany with a note that says fick dich.

Hi,
I'm Richard and live in Europe/France. You'll notice that my english isn't perfect and that I lack some vocabulary.
I have yet to do my presentation subject, which will be done quickly.
This afternoon, I'll be buying a Honda NB50 Vision (MY 1986), 1st owner, less than 900kms from new and it looks new...on the pictures figured on the ad. Wait and see.
Anyways, for your information, all "mopeds" or 50cm3 2 wheelers here are restricted to 45km/h which is about 30mph.
In France, if you don't have a racers licence (for a 1986 scoot??? Haha...), you can't even buy exhausts or BBK nowadays...
There is much hyprocrisy because you can buy from Ebay and the web outside France anyways.
BUT, you can buy (for example) performance exhausts if they don't enable you to go over 45km/h.
As you can easily imagine, the restrictor is "always" taken out...it's just that to have the right to sell these things to people who don't race, they must comply to the regulations as long as they are sold legally.
You can also buy an unrestricted exhaust illegally OR if you have a licence prouving your race on tracks...
See you soon on the newbie page.
