Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

My "summer motor scooter" Spre Honda 1986 49cc - gets poor
gas mileage? I believe it gets like 20 or so - mpg. The engine
runs very well, and I'd guess with me (200lb +) on it - it runs
like 32 mph. It starts very easily, and runs very well.

BUT - it just gets poor gas mileage. I had a Honda dealer look
at it last week - they cleaned the air cleaner, and changed the
spark plug(s). Not much better.

Are there carb jets available for these?

clean the carb, the muffler could be pluged, not ajusted right, bad spark? how many miles on it

My 1986 Honda 49cc Spree - has 2922 miles.

It runs very well, is in very nice shape - and has been
only used "summers". Always stored under a cover in
summer, in a building in winter. Its starts first kick -
runs very nice - just doesn't seem to get the GAS
MILEAGE such a small engine should?

When I cleaned the air filter, and replaced the plug(s)
last summer - both were clean and looked good?

.... little black Spree, 2 baskets, shiny, mirrors,
new battery, electric start, ..............
