auto bystarter

hey gang, been slowly working on my 84 spree, is there a way to bypass the autobystarter? with a manual choke or something? i have contacted a couple people on here but they say they wont sell auto bystarters becuase they are usually broken, and i cant find one anywhere, what do i do?

There is, but it's hard to reach the manual flip switch on an assembled bike.

There are new Chinese versions on Ebay.... YMMV

I have an Aero 125 that the PO converted the electric bystarter to a manual with a nylon fish line running up and out of the plastics. It works too, but I have never disassembled it to see what he did.

replace it with a Chinese one from ebay for 12$ :geekdance:
