Has anyone ever ran the Phongeer aluminum drive face? Or any lightweight aftermarket drive face.. ? If so, were you happy with it?

If you want to reduce weight then put lighter variator. He pg is famous for stripping cranks

The PG pulley is nice, I use it on my 125cc drag scoot.
It is much lighter than the stock one. It must be used with a ZX trans.
It won't/cant strip your crank. but if you use the S boss instead of the ZX boss you will probably strip the bolt or crank.

I would agree it should be only used for track purposes. It will ride the belt up extremely high.
I couldnt see it causing any stripping of the crank unless youre a moron and dont look what your doing. You can do that with a stock one for that matter.
Maybe with the S trans you cant tell a difference but with the ZX trans it definitely does. Here is a link to my neighbors build of a kymco engine I sold him with the Naruku high speed pulley on it. It will show the belt ride extremely high and create full overdrive very fast.

The Naruku drive face is half the weight of the stock drive face.

You can mount it without harm, but unless you have a complete aftermarket variator setup and a ZX rear clutch/sheeve combo, it won't do any real good.
I run the larger diameter and lightweight Chameleon outer face along with a Malossi variator. Quick as a rabbit. Don't see why you would only use it for the track. It's great to accelerate out of the way of cars/people.

Where could I get a Chameleon drive face?
Does the Malossi Variator come with its own ramp plate?
