Anyone running the pg variator on their af16? I installed to day but there is play once tightened down.. Seems as if its the wrong drive boss.. Its alsO alot thinner and doesnt look the same at all to a factory. Has these like almost fin looking things sticking up where the sliders go.. Any ideas??

You need a zx drive face or add a washer to it

I was thinking the washer.. So. Stock drive boss will work?

If its jus a zx drive face i need.. Who has one they'd like to trade ?

What boss are you running now and im not familiar with the pg variator but if its for a zx set up i think its best to run an entire zx trans set up. The malossi variator is meant for a zx trans and malossi crank. When i installed my malossi crank i had to add a washer behind the crank nut because that crank is designed for a zx trans set up.

Im running the stock af16e trans besides my ruima gears..so the pg variator seems as it wobbles on the drive boss.. Washer makes sense so does the zx drive cuz of the lip .. So i guess now im looking for a zx trans.. Or... ??

Yup scavenge a sym or kymco zx50 trans

I have two shims im going to try , see if it makes up the difference

Well.. Shims do nothing.. Its the drive boss.. Steve from vt says its because of the slits onthe sleeve on the inside of the variator where you slide the drive boss.. For cooling he said.. Makes sense..But its jus to loose.. To much play..definitly made for the zx trans
