just clean it and drill it out using theese insrutions

how i got alot more power and a better sounding engine

1. remove muffler
2. start bonfire
3. when fire dies down to mostly coals throw in the muffler
4. after fire goes out and muffler cools remove muffler from fire shake out muffler to remove nasties
5. on the end of the muffler that bolts to the engine grind off that evil washer that is welded in the pipe
6. find long drill bit that just barley fits in the tip of the muffler
7. drill out the baffles inside the muffler
8. replace muffler and reassemble bike

after i did ths my spree souded better and had a LOT more power

Don't do that. I'll try to post some pics of what a sawn exhaust should look like later this week.
