This was running like new, then when I crank it over it floods the engine. I have checked the needle/float, the fuel vacuum control, etc. When I put a vacuum on the hose, gas flows out of the gasline, but doesn't stop right away (it keeps flowing for several seconds). I am also getting drips of gas from the vacuum line. I have tested the float and needle and they are sealing properly. So when I try to start fuel is dripping out of the exhaust port. The engine has a good spark and very good compression. I have the bottom line on the vaccum control feeding to the intake and the top line to the float/needle. This thing gets so much gas in the cylinder and below that the engine will not turn over. Has anyone had a similar problem. Thanks Dspecht

Uhhhh...u might wanna get a new petcock (fuel valve).

Fuel flowing out of the vaccume line is NOT a good thing!

That is what is causing your flooding problem, replace it and your troubles should be solved.
