hey all! i am 15 years old in middle of nowhere kansas. i just recently restored a 1985 Honda Spree. there was rust in the gas tank and needed a new battery. bought it for $200 and restored it for about $80. i lined the gas tank with Kreme prep and liner and cleaned the carb and replaces some lines. i also had to assemble the battery myself which ive never done. i got the ped started up and no problems what-so-ever. runs awesome! this is so awesome! really quick on acelleration and plenty of top speed for the city streets. all the switches and gages worked except for the tail light. i took it off to see it disconnected? so i reconnected it and tried to start it again but the starter motor didnt even click. the starter worked with the tail light off but not on? i searched all over the bike for faulty connections or a short and couldnt find anything. i spliced a switch to the tail light so i can start it and then turn it on. hopefully temporary.

so that is my first experience with scooters/mopeds. hope to make some good friends here!

p.s. a small battery on a 10 amp charge IS charged after 5 minutes!

i got the battery at a local motorcycle shop. HUGE place in a small town. special thanks to them for all the goodies.

well after 5 minutes the battery was fully charged. the motorcycle shop said charge the batter with the top off so i did and it seems to work. lol.

thanks for the welcome!
