Ok I have a 1994 honda elite sr that will not start. Some of the wireing has been modified and I am not sure if it is the wireing or a carb issue. What would be the bare basic wires I need to have hooked up to get it to start? It does have spark and the spark plug is new. No battery but the kick start works to turn the motor and cause spark.
And if it is the carb what do I need to keep an eye out for?
I can get pictures iff needed
The scooter did run right before I got it but died and would never start again.

So I just attach the tester and start pumping the kick starter for 30-60 seconds? Asking cause I don't have a battery.

Greetings:
Throttle open wide, or just remove the carb. Reeds must remain in place.
Kicking will cause the pressure gauge indicator to rise a little less with each kick. Note where it stops rising altogether and that's your compression PSI.

greetings
Powersportsplus.com has the stock piston if that's what you want. or you can go bbk you should check the cylinder for scores and replace the rings while you're at it. Find out why the plug hit the piston. Maybe the wrong plug was used?

Well I am back. I put in the proper sparkplug and it started right up and I have been running it. Give me a couple weeks and I may look into a few performance upgrades.
