I have a 1985 Spree. I weigh about 170 lbs. What should I be running for tire pressure? Honda says 18 front/24 rear, it seems low to me.

i weigh 275 and i ran 25 front 35 rear, i think the stock settings are fine for your weight considering that you are on the max end of the recommended weight.

I run 32 f 35 r,you's rather have a tire with decent sidewall hardeness, then one that is too soft.

I run mine at 50 front 60 rear. Get an extra 5 on top and smokes the tire like a dragster.

Best best is to try a variety and see what you like; it's too subject to personal taste and easy to change.

50 PSI, huh? How's that handling bumps in mid-corner?

i figure ill start at 25 front 30 rear and see how it does.

Wait....50psi????? don't the tires say 36 psi MAX cold??

Well since i cleaned out the crappy oil i was using and got the right stuff from the honda dealer then used that sea foam crap my top end came back and im hitting 33 sometimes. That seems sorta dicey with the suspension on my bike. Its got 5k miles on it and the shocks are pretty beat down.

I plan on getting my speed into the solid mid 30's and i have some concern about the way this thing bounces all over at high speed.

What sorta stuff can you do? Softer tires are going to make for a smoother ride, if slower. Fatter too, but i just ordered some standard tires and tubes, maybe new will help.

If you are running a spree..a elite shock is a direct bolt-on. Me and darat had our arguements with the actual lifting of the bike...but it raises it an inch or so..it seems stiffer too but i didnt get a chance to ride due to the fact that im rebuildin the engine now. Any input Matt?
