pull the spark plug and kick it over and see if it gets better.

If your saying it kicks fine but returns slowly then you need to clean the kick start assy. If fuel oil mix comes out of the spark plug hole when you kick it, then yes it's flooded. If no fluid comes out when kicked then your exhaust could be plugged, either barbecue the muffler (check the wiki for instructions) or you may need to clean the carbon from the exhaust port. Or could just be gummed up or broken kick start assy

well the engine is definitely flooded, quite a bit of liquid comes out. also ive de-carbonized the muffler pretty recently. so i should be good on that. i think the kick start assembly might be broken aswell as the engine flooded. how would i go about un-flooding an engine? never done it before S:

take off intake manifold and tip the engine on it side to drain it out
