leak around gas level

well i guess i wasnt 100% restored yet
. there is a leak around where the fuel level gauge is. how can i seal that up? i have some RTV silicone sealant lying around can i use that?

i take everything apart, its fun yea i forgot the seal once it wouldent stay so then i looked around and found it. then i relized i have like 3 extras...
