I have changed both front and rear tires. I have fitted 90/90 by 10 Michelin S1's. No problem fitting them but for what ever reason they are not fitting central. Am I doing somthing wrong when inflating them?
Thanks
Danny
I have a uk 1985 vision if it makes a difference.

It happens. Your tire is not sitting proper on the rim. Try letting the air out and hit the side of the tire with a rubber mallet while you inflate the tire. If you work at it you can get it to set properly. Even putting the tires on the scooter and riding it can set them. Good luck keep working at it.

use soapy water or wd40 before you inflate. the edge of the tire is hanging up on the lip where it needs to seat

Got the tyre back off. Can I ask when I re fit a new tube should I bolt up the valve tight before I inflate or should I leave it loose?
Thanks
Danny

Leave the valve stem loose until you inflate, I have often had the thick part of the tube at the stem area wedge under the bead and cause all kinds of headaches. Thread the stem nut on the first part of the stem and push it into the rim to ensure that its clear of the bead, I use Simple Green mixed with water as a temporary lube to help the bead seating!

Tried all sorts but still cant get it to sit right. Got it at 50psi and still hasn't done it. How high can I go with presures before I risk injury?

i get nervous beyond 50 with steel belted tires. i wouldnt do it with a scoot tire. i think you really just need to lube it a lot more. use straight dish soap. i have never had this issue really with a scoot tire.
