1985 honda spree HELP wont keep running

hello I have a 1985 Honda iowa spree lately the motor will shutdown unless im holding down the throttle don't know whats wrong
any advice??

Your idle jet is plugged. Clean carburetor (times 2) and re-test.

Or more... And if the idle pilot is not plugged up it simply could be the idle air mixture and idle speed are not set to spec. go get the manual and try it. Not a bad idea to clean the carb anyway, if you have never done it now is the time to get at er
but set up the idle it may fix it.
