Got my Malossi bbk from Red eft and wanting some input on a few things- 1st. heat cycling it? how many and how long as I have read different things and 2nd. Saw people saying don't use the jet that comes with the kit although when I ordered it from Keith he was unsure of exact jet size but said maybe from an 88 to 100 jet size and lastly is stock airbox, run it or go with different?

Greetings:
Run the stock airbox if you can. It doesn't hold the engine back all that much, and it's much safer with the tiny (and non-replaceable) Pilot circuit on the PA stock carb. Get the Daytona PA jet kit and start with 90-ish and go down according to temp readings and/or plug color. If you can index the size of the Malossi-supplied jet, I'm guessing it's like ~#89.

I heat cycle at least a half dozen times to be safe. Start it up get it idle don't really rev it all, let idle up to full operating temps, shut it down and let it cool completly, repeat till you are sick of doing it
