I live in Hawaii and just bought a 2000 Elite SA50 with 4500 miles. I want to increase speed and performance without having to worry about overheating and other problems that come with modifying. I see a lot of guys in different clubs around here on their sunday cruises that break down and have to be carried home in a truck.

My bike is stock at the moment. I took off the muffler and it is not restricted. I was thinking about a bore kit, but someone told me that if I get a BBK then it would not be very reliable and I would have to mix oil in the gas?

If someone could suggest what I should do to my bike and where to get parts I would appreciate it much.

Mahalos!

Premixing is unavoidable if you get a bbk.

How fast do you want to go? You can get up to the 45-50mph range with a stock bore.
