This guy is trying to sell me a Spree. Well iv been looking for a moped for a little while now and im thinking about picking it up. A little background info. The scooter already has 3000 miles on it /: Im gonna be using the scooter daily.
Are Honda sprees a two person moped? or can you fit two people onto it?
With 3000miles is it reliable. Can i easyly but for ex. New air filter. Will it keep it "alive"
How fast can it go? I live in kind of a busy town so i was looking for a moped that does 40+
Easy performance upgrades?
If anyone could give me some background info about the Spree. I would love to read it. Thanks guys.
p.s. Im at school so i might not be able to respond quite fast. Peace
EDIT: Its a 1985

A spree will do 40+ if thrown from a cliff

lol I love my spree I'm just kidding. Sprees have their limitations but they are dead simple to work on and are reliable once any issues are worked out. 3000 miles it may need a new set of rings and a cylinder honing but that's not a really big issue and would probably run fine even if you diddnt do that, you might just loose some bottom end on a longer ride. And did I mention sprees are super fun eh:-)

A Spree won't do 40, period! It is not a 2 person scooter, you risk breaking the frame!
They are dead reliable little scooters !

Its a scooter .. and not a moped.. Sprees are tiny.. very very small scooters compared to most. They are great around the neighborhood in stock form. They can be made fast with a kitted engine swap though.

x3 it won't do 40 and before you do a "kit swap/engine swap" .... consider another scoot...
not to down play hondas... I love em... but if you want a 2 person and 40 mph stock (give or take with 2 people) I would look for a Kymco People 50.
Most folks do not know how good a Kymco is nor how reliable a People model 2T is... so they can be bought at a reasonable price second hand.
JMO... G/L on whatever you decide...
