malossi bbk with stock carb and airbox?

Wondering how my stock carb and airbox on my elite 00' af16 will run with a malossi bbk from red?
I'd like my build to be as follows:
Cast iron malossi bbk
9:1 gears
kelli variator
sef ramp plate
90/90 front and rear tires
dunno what belt would be good with this? just stock belt?
possibly a v8 typhoon exhaust
and the airbox and carb stock

Rains a lot here in san francisco and I read that if water gets into carb through filter it could seize, which is why I was thinking about leaving carb and airbox stock. Lemme know what the experts think about this. Thanks.

if you leave the stock carb (upjetted) and air box then you want to keep a stock exhaust
