come on over to mich. We can ride for 15 bucks for three years(license tag) no insurance required. And if you are over 19, no helmet required. However, any bike over 50cc requires a helmet no matter the age.

In Wisconsin, Insurance is about $100/year, plate is like $23 every 2 years and if you are old enough to drive the bike legally, you do not need to wear a helmet. AKA none required, ever.

Daaamn I'm getting ripped off here in Toronto. Insurance for bikes here is extremely high anyway so I thought I'd buy a 49cc ride it for a bit to get my rates to go down I'm 22 with my full motorcycle license and safety courses and still 1200 a year liability only on the spree. (You need a motorcycle license, insurance, and helmet to ride down here) Wow the states is definately the right place for peds (esp Michigan) I don't think I'd drive anything else.
I don't even like cars anymore now that I've ridden two wheels on the road haha CAGERS

have a 98 civic as a winter beater and a bunch of other bikes as seen in my sig.

i want to end up with an aero 50, my motobecane top tank moped, and the honda cb100, and my cars when it's all said and done. all this other crap is just money makers along the way to fund my true projects.

in other words - somebody sell me an aero 50 and my bike collection will be complete for a while and i can sell all this other crap.

CN$1200 liabilty on a Spree? What're you liable to do, run over a squirrel?

No insurance req on a Spree here in MI. As a comparison:

1982 CB900F: US$250/yr, full coverage
2002 Chev Impala: US$1000/yr, full coverage

I checked insurance on Camaros and Corvettes in my mid-20's here, was quoted US$1600 and US$1800, respectively.

Whatta ripoff!

count me in for a ride. i ride all the time. sometimes with the moped army people around here, but they get * when i ride scoots instead of bringing out my moped. f that.

anyway, beretta - we should meet up sometime. i just got yet another spree this weekend and i have a razz that is firing, but needs new rings and the piston is chipped, so i'm tossing one in tomorrow night.

the spree i picked up is pretty mint. it's missing one of the rear plastics, but the guy is going to look for it - i found under a shed awning on my parents lake and offered the guy 40 bux.
