This may have already been addressed, but doing a search here provided no definitive answer.
It used to be that if you searched Ebay for Elite DIO Variator (Pulley) you would get hundreds of results, not today. But I see hundreds of results for GY6 and it looks identical. Also it appears that the GY6 are much cheaper than the ones labeled DIO. I was actually looking for a pulley, performance ramp plate and weights as a set, but the DIO search brings up sets from $50 to $140 range (with shipping) The same search with GY6 bring ups items in the $20-$30 range all day long. Even more confusing is that some auctions list both engines. So, my question is, will a GY6 Variator work / fit a Elite S Dio?
Thanks in advanced for any help.

Re: Will a GY6 Variator work / fit a Elite S Dio?
Greetings:
I believe it will fit if you use your existing AF16 pulley boss. Examine once mounted to see if it needs shimming in or out however. Cheaper they are, and less reliable and durable they may be.

I'm not sure if this is relevant.
I use gy6 variator in my 85 nb50. I use the drive boss and the ramp plate from the original variator due to the size of the crankshaft.
It fits fine and it works fine.
