What are the negatives of zip tie on oil pump?

we all do it for diffrent reasons, bbk, derestricting, etc
i ported a af05e and put on an aero 80 intake and carb. my aero 80 cable has a seized oil cable but the rest is fine. can i just zip tie my oil pump?
what are the down sides to this? alot of smoke? performance wise? would i need to run richer?

It might run a bit rich, not a perfect brown plug might be a little black. Run a hotter plug if that happens.
