LED strips? Lot of tech going on there. What do yours do?

Here's some bicycle wheels that look fine. They've come a long way in the past few years, like Las Vegas on wheels. Even a dog chasing a cat :D

I've been wanting to upgrade my SA50 and CH80 headlights. I wouldn't mind checking these out.

less smack talking and more pictures and diy tips.

i think if you replaced all the lights on the bike with leds you would see a jump in gas milage. especially with a system that didn't run a headlight constantly, the dash lights might be hard to replace but i know on the subaru forums thos guys put leds in everything. i think radio shack sells a kit where you keep the old microscopic bulb base and you add a small led with two metal bare wires to the existing probes.

turn signals auto zone has led bulbs if i remember correctly.

so the last think would be the headlight. the brighter the better, and stock bulb case would be a ++ i think.

It's easier to start but I don't think any diff in mpg, full throttle is full throttle regardless.
Look on ebay for LEDs if you're really interested. It's hard to take a good pic of LEDs with out it looking like a 4th of July pic.

LED lights will not help gas mileage or starting.

The stock headlight on our scooters take ac voltage to light.

Am LED light can only use dc voltage.

The blinkers will blink at a faster rate if replaced with LEDs

These are plug and play if you dont want to solder anything.

Ya it's ac and it does create a draw as soon as you start kicking so it will effect the start up. More amps to the cdi the more powah the coil gets, there's a noticeable difference seen in voltage drops and spikes when starting with LEDs compared to conventional. Granted it is small but every last bit helps on these tiny engines.
I run an automotive relay for all my lighting.

as far as led turn signals so i think there are more than enough plug and play options on ebay that it is not worth discussing.

but headlights and dash lights are because you can't just screw in led bulbs like you can for the brake light / stock turn signals.

what about an hid ballasts? how have people done conversions using a/c? the wiki looks like you just wire it up

If I remember right tj did a write up on hid installation, involved some cutting of the headlight bucket. It's rough on the charging system from what I've heard so no one does it for long.

"The more amps to the cdi the more power the coil gets" :bs: :bs:

This is not true.

Power to the coil has nothing to do with the wattage of the head light.
