i went out on a limb and bought this kit, it cost 92 and change shipped. looks like you retain the stock head, but it shipped on the 11th from italy and i got it today (15th). jeez thats impressive. looks like the exhaust could use a port. will be installing tonight or tomorrow let you guys know how it goes. also could someone tell me their experience breaking this in properly. thanks!
Great score! Flash 1 had that kit. Newb tuner I was at the time, and didn't break it in at all. Ran great nonetheless and sold the engine outright in 2009. As far as I know, it's running still.

I measured the cyl. It is 47mm. Does that make the piston 45mm=65cc? Or does the measurement come from the bore? Paul there is no stamp. Jet is 90. I'm going run a uni pod so I think I should probably upjet. Any of you guys have a similar setup to get me pointed in the right direction as far as jet sizing goes
47mm bore multiplied by the shorter-stroke SE05 crank defines a fat but short cylinder whose volume is 65cc. SA16 cylinder is 41.4 mm tall, thus holds more. Volume is determined by the size of the box, or cylinder, in 3 dimensions.

My setup is similar on my nb50, but I'm still breaking it in so I'm currently running the 90 main with oem carb and exhaust. I'm not sure if you plan to add a 21mm carb and sp3 pipe, but I DO! So if anyone wants to chime in on jetting for that setup as well.........Please Share!!
The performance advantage goes well beyond the 40% displacement bump. Polini port timing and higher RPM just about doubles the horsepower, if you add the LV pipe. Speeds above 50 if you can gear it up a little, with the same or better take-off as stock. Speeds approach 60 with RedEft's 7.83:1 gears, albeit with painfully slow 0-10 take-off.

what kind of speeds are you seeing? i didnt think the 3.5 fit on the af05 case. my 90/90 barely fits.
im running a vtcycle bbk for my not real happy with it cant get to the 8000 rpm ... hope you get over 8000... what gram rollers are you running ???
