i have a 87 honda aero 50 and i was wondering if it is retricted and if so, is there any way to derestrict it to make it a little faster. and other ways to make it faster would help. thank you also it seems like it is eating up gas more than it should any ways to help this?

No restriction but the variator.

would a high performance cdi help?

Doubt any perfomace Chinese cdi would help

Im pretty sure an aftermarket variator will give you some more top end.
