Steering wobble

There is quite a wobble in the steering on my 85 Gyro. There doesn't seem to be any free play in the bearing so I don't think the nut is too loose. Is this normal or is there something I should check to correct the wobble?

IDK - check the front forks and rim. I've had on TG50's with rim and tire related wobbles. Bent rear hubs have set up a wobble too.

There is a lot of slop in the forks of most 50cc bikes.
The primary cause of wobble is tire condition.
Check to see if tire is fully seated on the wheel rim.
The wheel could have some warp.
Check the steering head bearings too.
If the tire is old, expect some wobble.

+1 to all the above and some more:

Twisted forks and general misalignment can be a cause.

I've seen chunked belts that felt alot like an out of balance wheel as well.
