HELP ME PLEASE! FRUSTRATED!

Hey Guys,
I have a question for y'all.....maybe y'all can help me out! I have a 1986 Honda Spree NQ50. I have done a lot of work to it (or at least I think its a lot for my first build) but at this point, it is whipping my *. Here is the problem:
I have swapped out the stock bore for a 48mm big bore kit. I have also swapped out the stock carb for a 21mm aftermarket carb and am running a UniFilter sock filter on the end of it. I CAN get it to start and idle, and I can even get it to go down the road.....this is where the problem begins. When I am going down the road, and at take off, it wants to bog down/cut out under load. I have swapped jets and tweaked the carb numerous times. Currently, I am running a 105 jet because I thought the 102 wasn't supplying enough fuel. I am beginning to think that maybe it is getting to much fuel and flooding out. Along with swapping jets, I have covered the air inlet up at 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 intervals. I am perplexed and frustrated to say the least, seeing as how I have worked on this for over two weeks. I don't know if this matters or not, but I have moved the vacuum line from the carb to the manifold to insure the petcock was supplying enough gas. You can see it move so I know gas is going through the system....and....like I was mentioning, I CAN get it to idle and sound pretty good.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from y'all

Greetings:
Welcome, OneHungLowe. It's kind of hard to say much without knowing what "A lot of work" really is. Stock 49cc? If so, that 21mm is a lot of carb for the occasion. If the engine is stock-ish, I recommend you begin by swapping back to the stock carb. If its behavior is the same with the plumbing prescribed by Honda-san himself, you can safely assume it's simply not a carb/jetting issue.
If "A lot of work" means a bore kit, pipe and other goodies, let the Forum know what you've done. Chances are someone has been down this road before.

Its not a carb issue, you need to dial in your trans, weights / clutch springs/ center spring, thats why i don't deal with the spree.

My spree bbk and 21mm carb set up was also between 95 and 98 and I'm pretty much sea level.

Here is some more info on the work I have done to my Spree:
49mm big bore kit
21mm carb
MLM exhaust pipe with expansion chamber
Unifilter "sock" filter
Replacement stock petcock
Correctly gapped spark plug
Vacuum line relocated to manifold for better suction
New fuel/oil lines
New throttle line
As of right now....I am using a 102 or a 105 jet cuz I thought it was running lean. But after reading y'all's responses....sounds like I am way to rich.
It has been miserably cold here in Texas so I haven't gotten to work on it much this weekend.
Thanks for all the responses....keep them coming. I need all the help I can get....it's my first build and I need the knowledge!

Yah a 95 main works better. I sent you a 95 in the kit. Don't remove the whole pan. Just undo the bolt on the bottom of the pan to re-jet the main.

OK guys, here is the latest update.
The weather here in DFW is cold and wet but I decided what the *...I gotta go work on it. I re-jetted the main using the 95 that came in the kit. The thing fired up (after numerous tries...probably cuz it needed to fill the bowl) and idled fine (I am at 2-2.5 turns on the screw). However, now it will not take any throttle input at all....it definitely chokes itself plum out. I am having issues...but I am determined to get it straight. I have checked the whole set up for vacuum leaks and have checked it twice. Not sure where else to go.
Oh..and to top it off....my kick start gear has taken a crap. Any ideas about where to find another one?
Thanks...
Brian

The 2.5 turns out in the the idle air screw might be too lean to take throttle try it at 1.5 turns out and see what happens. You may need to adjust the idle air screw and the idle speed to get it to idle and take the throttle off of the bottom end

EBAY for the kickstart unless there is one here on the forum. They are not always cheap elsewhere.

Update: so I tuned the carb back to 1.5....I did get it to run but it still does the same cut out under load. Would y'all be able to clarify for me where the air/idle mix screw is....
I am still having a hard time getting it to crank....
Please keep the ideas coming...I am definitely trying everything just not having any luck yet.
Thanks

Do you have the airbox lid and air filter in it. They will only run under a with those in place.

I,m having the same problem you are with my spree. I was told on this forum that it won't run under a load without the airbox lid and filter in place and sealed. I'm waiting for an airbox lid to come in now. Hope this solves my problem and it could yours also. It has t be in place with filter and sealed to run under a load.
