Mid budget speed + touring sound.

I am looking to find a solid aftermarket touring pipe similar to the Leo Vince SP3. I want a little more power to get me up and down small hills on the stock bore without getting hassled by the fuzz. From what I've searched, I know expansion pipes get a little too loud for what I want to do.

Some background here: I have an '05 Daelim Cordi engine in my 88Elite LX. The Cordi is a dio clone with a longer stroke piston. When I compared exhausts with a friend's 96 Elite, I found his did bolt up properly. I have the stock airbox, and a stock carb with a 72 main jet that came with it.

This is the quiet-est "next bigger pipe" for the honda "dio" motor that I could find. I own one and it's nice. This pipe will let your motor rev to about 8500 or more. And, it looks stocky to help keep the law from being too curious. 8)
I got it here http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-Dio-ZX-Sh ... 74&vxp=mtr
You will want to up the main jet to a 85-90 or larger if you ditch the stock air box and run a pod-style air filter, but those will add noise in case you didn't know.

You could also tweak the cvt i.e., roller weights, torque spring, clutch springs, better variator, etc. Just use the search feature at the top of the page here and learn how!
Happy Trails!

An exhaust will do nothing for climbing hills on a stock engine, higher compression and correct gear ratio will fix your problem, look for a malossi 65cc bore kit with a #90 main jet on the stock carb, your gears are fine.
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!
