Has anyone successfully used the non tongue style(non se50)engine mount found on the aero 50's to do the variated af05 swap into a spree? I just don't have access to my spree for mock up right now. Thanks!!

Yes -- Take a look at these two builds, there's more around...

Link to mookie's build
Chevyguyjay put an SE50 engine into a Spree using the Spree mount
"i have a 87 elite se50 engine on my spree. all wiring is the same. take the stock spree engine mount, and turn it around 180, then remove the kick stand and bolt it in place. re-locate the shock mount. "

Awesome. Thanks mouse!! Devenex's mount seems to be the easiest out of the options, but I'm curious if the new af05e will be centered or off center just a touch.
Mookie's mount looks to me like an se50 mount with the tongue.
Chevguy's sounds good except I don't know how comfortable if feel using the kickstand holes without some reinforcement.

I'm not an expert on the AF05 mounts. Mystery -- I looked at Mookie's pic and thought "It looks like my 87 Aero". Here's parts fiche drawings.

Thanks again mouse!
That's very interesting... Your 87 nb50 mount looks like a cross between the 87nb50 and se50 parts fiche pics. I checked my 85 nb50's mount last night and it looks very similar to the pic of the 87 nb50.
Hopefully I'll acquire a cheap af16 for my spree project this summer and I can mess around with my options.

Wait, never mind. With a dio swap you modify a dio mount, correct? Since the mount to case bolt is a larger diameter.
