MMMmmm, Pics! Not many performance exhausts for humble Spree, alas, except what people cobble up themselves. The stock pipe probably keeps the engine from Being All That It Can Be.Provost33 wrote:Any suggestions on what else i should do would be appreciated. I like the idea of the Carb kit tazland sells, i just cant get myself to spend that money right now... Where can you find exhausts for these? and lastly, When i hit the starter , it sometimes grinds pretty nasty.. i havent taken the drive cover off yet but im guessing theres some gears in there that the starter is missing
Starter Bendixes (Bendices?) tend to get sticky with belt gum. Remove, clean up and reinstall. See if someone can cough up a kickstart-equipped cover to replace your nekkid one.
The carb upgrade is worthwhile, from what I READ. (Never owned, much less modded a Spree...) The fixed stock Pilot jet is the problem that might toast your shiny new big-bore, aside from the potential for better performance. Get the (one-tooth bigger) gear upgrade while you're spending money. Be the First on Your Block to bust 40 with a Spree.
