Better front Brakes? maybe suspension too?

OK I posted about doing a mod to change to a different front suspension and a disk brake. I guess that solution is beyond the amount to cash I can (should) spend right now.

Has anyone experimented with ways to improve the stock suspension. It seems to have a sad lack of rebound damping. I'm wondering if there is a better shock maybe from a small 4 wheeler that might bolt on and work better. I know there isn't much weight on the front wheel so it would have to be designed to be pretty soft.

Are the "slotted" brake shoes an improvement? I see EBC and Malossi make them.

Has anyone found a way to cool the brakes, particularly the front any better? Where I plan to take my bike this summer I think I'm going to overheat the brakes.

I'm going to put the bike in the van and take it up to the Dragon, the ride at Deal's Gap this summer. 314 curves in 11 miles :*:

I'm just guessing but I think brake fade is inevitable !

the slotted pads work well i have some they are much better than stock .But i also had them in the front and cooked them lots thats why i swapped to the disk brake front end with with adjustable damper front shocks stopping power is awesome with the disks on the front even better when i get a 220mm rotor and caliper spacer from japan .
