Good Performance Tires ?

I am planning to take my BBK bike on some VERY curvy roads later this summer. And I'm going to push it as fast as seems safe.

Specifically I am going to go to Deal's Gap and run "The Dragon"

What tires would y'all recommend? Obviously I will need to get the bakes in good shape too. Are the EBC slotted pads about as good as any of the others?

What else do I need to prep before running a road with 314 curves in 11 miles? :surprise:

I really like the Dunlop TT series... I ran the TT92 on the front and loved the sticky-ness of it. They are getting harder to find as the TT93 has replaced the 92s. They are basically racing tires for the street ;)

I ordered this tire

http://www.ronayers.com/10090-10-C3525.aspx

I wonder what the difference is in the 413 and the 453 ?

I got both tires and tubes shipped to my house for $65

Greetings:

Bakaracer uses Dunlops for his track bike. Good enough for me. Beware the Gendarmerie along the Dragon's Tail. Lots of fatalities along that strip have led to a crackdown by Law Enforcement. Party-Poopers!

The Kenda 453 is a newer 'sport' tire "designed for the ultimate in traction". according to their website http://www.kendatire.com/en/motorcycle/scooter/k453/ which didn't have too much info on both... :( but I'm currently riding on the 413s and they seem sticky enough for my semi-agressive riding style. ;) Although I'm currently not trying to push it to the limit since I need to get rid of my front end wobble issue first (and am still getting used to the extra weight of the Daelim Cordi).

I have the 413 on my red scooter sounds like the 453 will be a good choice for the BBK bike. You are correct about the Dragon. I live 45 mins away and have been there many times on my Bandit. I think riding the scooter there will be big fun :-D

will a 100/90-10 fit the rear of the 2000 elite SR50?

Greetings:

The 100/90 will fit, but only if you cut away most of the crankcase. Otherwise 90/90 is the best choice. Some say 3.50x10 will fit, but that was not my experience. At speeds above 50, the tire expands and rubs.

Thanks for the tips wheelman,

would a 90 90 on back and a 100 90 on front be weird? I cant find another kenda 453 90 90 10 around. Apparently I bought the last one on earth this week and would like a matching front.

Greetings:

Even the 3.50 rubbed the rubber off the front brake cable way up under the fender, and was very close to JAMMING the wheel locked whenever I rode with Wheel-Boy and braked while turning. I don't think a 100 has ANY chance of fitting safely.
