Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Hello
Im new to the forum and spree's.
I have a 85 Honda Spree starts great with the kick starter. I put a new battery in it (Didnt have one when i got it) and turn the key on all lights but the headlight work. I push the starter button and nothinh happens.
Should the head light be on also when the key is on? Where should i start to look to fix the electric starter?

It comes on only when the engine starts. Try starting your bike with a battery charger, that will tell you if the problem is a dead battery. Otherwise check the coil and the starter.

Dont forget to hold the brake lever on or the starter will not work.

Thanks for the info. I didnt know you had to hold the brake for the elec starter to work.
