Hello, I've got a 87' elite se50. I was looking at the 70cc kit from malossi. Question is what carb to run and where do I buy it? Or do I even need a new carb? I got a new variator and a pipe. What else do I need to get this thing moving a little more swiftly? Not looking to go ape s*** and try to hit 65. I am open to try whatever, I haven't got much experience in building these things but I am a fabricator and like to think I'm pretty crafty.

Right on, thanks. I'll check it out and start ordering. What size rollers would be a good starting point or should I just get several?

6 to 7 grams should be good. What type of pipe do you have.

I ordered the sp3 but I keep seeing a lot of people on here running the wild lion. Starting to wonder if I made the wrong choice? Any preference from your opinion?Like I said I'm open to all suggestions and I'm not worried about cost. I paid 250 for the bike and it only had 800 miles on it. After some fiberglass work and some paint it's almost new. So if I get the total up to $1000 with aftermarket parts I'd say I'm even.

Also I looked at the oko 21mm carb and there's several to choose from, will they all fit? Or is there a specific one? Or is one better than the other? Like I said I'm new to all of this, and I don't want to waste a bunch of time ordering the wrong thing then have to send it back. I live in tacoma wa. It rains here. Hard. I only have about two and a half months of rain free riding time so I'm trying to bang all this out in a short amount of time. Thanks for your input. It's been really helpful and greatly appreciated.

Thanks man. If I waited two months my riding season would be over. I found the sp3 on ebid from some guy in Hawaii. Seems pretty legit and I've seen others on here refer to this guy and said he's pretty credible. I'll definitely take note on the over seas ordering. I'll check out the carb thing as well. Thanks again. I'm pretty sure id be well on my way to blowing up my bike without the input I've received.

It looks like it. I never knew there was such a vast following for these things. I bought mine because it was on the side of the road for $250 and it was being sold by a couple that was about 75 years old so I knew it wasn't beat on. I live right in the middle of downtown and it's a perfect rider for around the city. Best $250 I've ever spent and now I discover this place!!! It's like an internet heaven. Thanks for the welcoming and I'm excited to be a part of this scene.
