Sitting on Johnny Depp's Face

I noticed a Honda Elite E on craigslist w/no price and little info
so I called about it the seller said he paid $80 for it from a friend
but it needed a lot of work and was missing some parts ...
Well less than an hour later it's in the back of my truck heading to it's new home .

First thing see if it runs before spending money and time fixing it up .
1 drain old gas
2 hook up battery
3 try to start
4 clean carb
5 check for spark
6 try starting fluid
well it it wanted to start and sputtered a few times (that was a good sign )
Finally it started and gas / oil was pumping out of the muffler
well OK I guess it's worth doing some work on ...
I took off the plastics
I started with the seat ... it was so messed up ..

I was going to use some old blue jeans to cover the seat
But had a Johnny Depp poster on fabric that I had in my
girlfriends sons room , He hated it because he said it scared him
at night so I took it down .And it was just sitting around it was the right size to cover the seat so
I was just going to use it until I could get some good material .

As I was working on the scoot I thought put some plastic wrap on it to protect it from
dirt and oil ...
Then a friend saw it and said it looked OK ...and I should cover it with plastic
I really did this fast and not trying to do a great job as you can see
there are no seams just wrapped around and stapled ...
Then got some messed up side panels wish I would have had photos they were really messed up

Now back to the engine
cleaned the carb again re-did the petcock
Seemed to fix the gas / oil problem gushing out of the muffler
then slapped some paint on the side panels .

Well it looks OK well better than it did ...
I also have to mention I did meet another member
on this forum that I traded some parts for
he had the tail light & signal lights I needed thanks to newzealandmaori
I also wish I had some photos of the taillight before and after

Now I have to get back to the sometimes problems of the
oil/gas coming out of the muffler ...
It's weird and very aggravating ...
Oh just a little tip it's not going to solve the problem of
no title or manufacturers statement of origin but might help at DMV and look like you have made an
effort to get paperwork ....

I agree I just needed some fabric to cover the seat and yes I probably would be nervous to ride it in Texas
I JUST NEEDED SOMETHING TO COVER THE SEAT it was only going to be tempory
If you look at the photo I was going to use some old jeans but there was not enough to cover the seat .

OK go ahead and laugh at the Johnny Depp seat ...
A few weeks ago I also got a Yamaha Razz for $10.00
and changed the seat on that .The guy welded a trunk on the rack
well thats gone

Stuck an old pipe on it .
Re-did and cleaned the speedo .
Made a new front where the plastics were missing .
Also put lights in the eyes .
