So, I finally got a Spree....car wash questions.

The place to discuss rides, accessories, or whatever is tangentially Spree/Elite-related

So, I finally got a Spree....car wash questions.

Post by dcbarner »

So I got my spree late last fall. I rode it for a bit and then stored it in my garage. It's dirty. Can I just get the hose and wash it? Can I use a power sprayer? Can you tell I know absolutely nothing about this thing? Ready to learn. Help me out.

I tend to stay away from pressure washers, but as long as you are carefull with it it should be fine. Stay away from sensitive stuff like the intake\ airbox and carb. Dont send water in to the tailpipe. That sort of thing. Common sense. A good hand wash with a bucket and a hose is always best pressure washers dont do the best job, you still have to hand wash it. I dont really wash my scooters now. I got special cleaner wax that doesn't require washing only rinsing off heavy dirt prior to cleaning with the wax. It does a surperb job of polishing and cleaning the plastics. Before that I used wd40 and a rag to clean to clean and polish the plastics. Brought the plastic back to life. The new cleaner wax take 5 min to make my aero 80 look new. Ill post what that stuff is when I get home on sunday or Monday.
