Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

I finally figured out that my spree will go from 25mph flat to 31-32mph on flat ground just by cracking open the lid on my airbox. Just wanted to check if that will damage my engine at all. All i did was just pop open the latches, the lid is still screwed down tight. I saw that some people wrote to drill four holes in the airbox for faster speed. Can't see how this is different but thought I should check. Thanks. Man these sprees are finincky!

no thats perfectly fine. I've had to do it myself when I had my spree and the new owner is doing the same with the resulted benefits. You'll be able to tell if your cracking it open too much since it will start vacuming at top speed.
