QUIET PLEASE: best stealthy upgrades for my '86 Aero?

I want to upgrade the top speed and hill climbing ability of my stock '86 Aero but I need to keep the noise level as low as practical. I also can't pre-mix.
Will a stock pipe neutralize all the benefits of a big bore kit?
thanks!

I ran a wild lion on my stock bore with a 90 jet in the stock carb, ruckus variator with 36g total weight and I had no problems cruisin a solid 40mph anywhere I was going up a hill or down. You'll defiantly need the pipe if you go bbk but you might like the performance with just a pipe there arnt many choices when it comes to an AF05 but there are a couple for sale for you here in the land of mystical parts we call hondaspree.net!!!!!

i have a bbk and wild lion on my 86 aero. I had to put an arreche 19mm carb on it but it it just as quiet as it was stock. Plus all the power you need around town.

A BBK may require pre-mixing however.

Sounds like multiple people recommend the wild lion, me being one of them. I'd scoop one up while they are still available. If your on a budget the sp3 will do, but I think you may have to trim some side panel, or get a longer shock so they don't kiss each other.
Again if you are not willing to premix, I'd prob stick to the stock bore with a pipe and variator.

Is there a consensus on the "BBK requires pre-mixing" question?
I live in a 4th floor apartment and my '86 Aero lives in my Grand Caravan. I don't need my van or my apartment smelling like a jerry can of gas and oil.
thanks!

Greetings:
There may not be consensus, but NO doubt that a bigger cylinder needs more oil than stock pump is set to deliver. Since you have to premix at least 100:1 anyway, might as well mix 32:1. Good containers don't stink.

I agree with wheelman. Proper gas cans don't smell. Actually the new gas cans are designed to not vent to the atmosphere at all thats why when you pour a large amount of fuel they are very slow. Premixing isn't that hard and if you want more torque the bbk is the way to get it.
