hi im a UK member and im trying to work out if I should modify my AF05e motor or swap it for an AF16/18motor? Any ideas what UK bikes had the AF16/18 motor?
The bike in question is a UK Honda vision.

Go for the challenge! Keeping that Af05 and Getting to 60 will learn you how to build any good motor after that...and everyone does swap because there cheaper and easier.
60 on an aero is like achieving 80 with af motor...gold metal!
Bbk kit, wild lion exhaust, dellorton19mm, ruck variator, Kevlar belt, 90/90 rear wheel, malossi gear set 2k grabbers, and 1.5 k center spring, yss 290 rear shock, super cub fronts and your there!

yeah im thinking along those lines but its just so hard to get parts for the AF05e engine over here. I cant even find an exhaust let alone anything else.

I've seen a couple uk members come up with some pretty sweet exhausts. Malossi parts should be findable and they make the best bbk available for that motor.

Yeah ive already bastardised an exhaust form a Suzuki which has given me a bit more go. Just fitted a 3.5" rear tyre so fingers crossed I will be hitting the dizzy heights of 40mph. Bloody tight squeeze mind.

3.5s are pretty tight and remember the higher the speeds the taller the tire will actually get so watch for rubbing on the case.

I will bear that in mind. it only rubs at the mo when the road gets real bumpy. I will take it for a test ride in a bit and see what its like at top speed.

just took it out for a test run. 40mph on the flat and no rubbing. well happy

it is a little challenging to find AF05e parts. Im trying to build one now. Its confusing with the names AF05e and SE50... why is it like that? whats the difference..?

Its confusing with the names AF05 its the same as a spree motor and SE50.is not a spree motor
